In Conference A, Llandovery College maintained their 100% record with a 36-33 win at the home of reigning champions Cardiff & Vale College to guarantee a home game in the semi-final play-offs. They host Coleg Sir Gâr in the final round hoping to make it seven out of seven.

They need to take only one point from the game to guarantee top spot. To add the icing on top of the cake this week, the Llandovery Development XV also beat the CAVC 2nd XV 35-20.

Ysgol Glantaf are second in the table having only suffered one defeat to date, a 23-21 reverse at Llandovery. They stayed in the hunt for a home draw in the last four with a 36-33 victory over Coleg Y Cymoedd at Sardis Road, and their final league assignment will be at home against Coleg Llandrillo.

CAVC cannot be caught in fourth place by either Whitchurch HS, who they meet next week, or Coleg Llandrillo, so face an away semi-final as they seek to make it three titles in a row. They could overtake Coleg Sir Gar and move up into third, while Glantaf could still overtake Llandovery at the top.

Glantaf has scrum half Sion Davies to thank for their latest win. He scored two tries as they just held off Cymoedd, seeing a 33-14 lead whittled down to a 36-33 triumph in the end.

Whitchurch HS had a last gasp penalty to earn them a hard-fought victory in north Wales against Coleg Llandrillo. They led 20-0 in the first half and then 28-5 in the second before conceding points in a spirited fightback before winning 31-28 in the end.

In Conference B, are now uncatchable at the top of the top after their 46-0 home win over Neath Port Talbot College. That made it six out of six for them and they can look forward to another home game in the semi-finals.

Joining them in the last four will be Newport HS and new boys Ysgol Ystalyfera and Christ College, Brecon.
