Seven Sisters were the last side to reach the last four of the Cup

Seven Sisters clinched the final spot in the WRU Women’s Cup semi-finals on Sunday afternoon after an impressive 45-14 victory over Burry Port.

Burry Port travelled to Maes Dafydd in the rescheduled Cup match between the two sides. The hosts soared to victory with Melissa Gnojek and Alicia Demery-Goatson both crossing the line twice. Hannah Jones and Holly Cooper both dotted over the whitewash for a try apiece with Rachel Rees rounding up their try count to seven. Rees booted five conversions to keep the scoreboard ticking over in her side’s favour.

The visitors answered back with Mari Jenkins scoring a try and Amy Uddin slotting the conversion. An infringement against Hannah Styles saw Burry Port awarded a penalty try to put the final score at 45-14 to the hosts.

Seven Sisters join Caernarfon, Llandaff North and Ynysddu in the final four of the Cup.

In the WRU Women’s Bowl match between Tumble and Senghenydd, Tumble secured a 12-5 victory.

Elsewhere in the Admiral National League Championship, Bonymaen picked up a 31-0 win over Lampeter Town and Haverfordwest clinched a 7-14 away victory against Llantwit Fardre. Ynysddu kept their top of the table place after a 43-10 win over Blackwood.

In the East Wales Lagues, CR Cymry Caerdydd and Whitchurch picked up wins over Old Penarthians and Blaina. In the West Wales League Porthcawl beat Tondu 36-10.
