The Division 3 Cup has reached the quarter-final stage and there are teams from all over Wales still involved as eight clubs try to follow in the footsteps of Abertillery BG, who beat Vardre in the 2023 final.

Bryncethin know all about what it takes to reach the final having won the Division 4 Cup last season – a year after losing to Llanharan in the National Bowl final. They head to Division 3A West, who have lost only once in their league and cup fixtures this season.

Blaina will be flying the flag for East Wales when they host Abercrave, who are sitting proudly on top of Division 3 West central having lost only once this season. Cardiff Quins, two points off the top of Division 3 East Central, host Division 2 North side Colwyn Bay.

Fairwater squeezed past Penygraig 17-15 in the last round last month and will be looking to use home advantage to good effect when they welcome Cwmafan. They were beaten by last year’s eventual champions.

Cwmafan currently sit in fourth place in Division 3 West Central with seven wins out of their nine league outings and haven’t been beaten since 17 December.

The best 24 Youth teams in Wales will also be in action this weekend as they meet in the WRU Clubs U18 Cup, Plate and Bowl quarter-finals.
