Bargoed remain on course for a Welsh Championship league and cup double after a crushing 75-7 win at East division bottom club Treorchy moved them to within two points of top spot.

Morgan Thomas helped himself to four of the Bulls’ 11 tries with Dylan Williams at the double and Rhys Thomas, Owain Cooper, James Locke, Keegan Bale and Josh Parry also crashing over the whitewash.

Josh Prosser added the extras to 10 of them while the crushing win moves Bargoed on to 79 points with four games in hand on current leaders Cardiff Met. The Archers have now completed their fixtures and were defeated 30-24 at Beddau in their final match.

Ystrad Rhondda, like Bargoed and Cardiff Met, will also playing their rugby in the new 13-team community Premiership next season after a comprehensive 57-19 defeat of Newbridge at Gelligaled Park cemented their place in the top five.

Kurtis Williams ran in a hat-trick with Josh Williams scoring twice. Rhys Dauncey, Morgan Burgess, Cole Morgan and Cavan Davies were Ystad’s other try scorers. Lewis Williams kicked four conversions and Rhys Truelove two.

Matthew McGovern and Cian Jones scored tries for Newbridge – who were also awarded a penalty try. Robbie Turley kicked a conversion.
Glamorgan Wanderers won 41-38 at Bedwas while Rumney were victorious 41-27 at St Peter’s. 
In Championship West, Narberth need just two points from their final game to bag the title.
That is after the Otters’ 31-15 home win over Bonymaen. Lewys Gibby was at the double with skipper Roy Osborn and Tom Powell also dotting down. Jonathan Rogers kicked all four conversions and one penalty.

Nearest challengers Brecon beat Crymych 38-13 to keep their title hopes alive. Jake Crockett ran in a hat-trick with Rhys Williams, Dewi Edwards and Logan McIntosh also scoring tries. Dion McIntosh landed three conversions and Crockett one.

Newcastle Emlyn rounded off their season with a thumping 66-19 home win over Maesteg Quins. Trebanos wrapped up their fixtures on a winning note as they edged Ystalyfera 36-33.
Alex McNamara, Mackenzie Clayton, Cerith Davies and Lloyd Jenkins grabbed tries. Rhys Harris kicked two conversions and four penalties.

Llangennech recorded a 59-18 home win over Ammanford. Tom Neale, Tom Morgan, Rhys Morgans, Luke Davies, Callum Jenkins, Louis Rees (2), Jordan Saunders and Gareth George scored the Llan tries.
