Wales A Victory Against Scotland
A last gasp drop goal from super-sub Craig Warlow sealed Wales A’s victory over Scotland at The Racecourse last night.
The Bridgend fly-half secured a 30-23 triumph against a spirited Scottish side that refused to let Wales run away with the game.
Tries from Mefin Davies, Tom Shanklin, Chris Wyatt and Gareth Thomas ensured an impressive scoreline but Scotland hit back owing much to the individual performance of Edinburgh fly-half Gordon Ross.
Ross scored a try, kicked two conversions, two drop-goals and a penalty to notch up 18 points for his country.
An injury-hit Welsh side did well to maintain their momentum and although Warlow struggled to settle after replacing first choice Lee Jarvis, who was suffering from a knee injury, the Bridgend no 10 produced the goods when it mattered.
