The visitors took a 10-0 lead into the break and despite backrower Geraint Gladwyn being sent off in the 66th minute, Keys produced one of the bravest defensive performances in recent seasons to win 10-6.

Premiership leaders NEWPORT didn’t take advantage of Neath’s slip, managing only an 18-all draw at home to CARDIFF. Newport scored three tries to two, but visiting goal-kicker Craig Evans slotted three crucial goals to grab a share of the points.

BRIDGEND continued their up-and-down season with a 27-0 win over SWANSEA, Roger Davies scoring two of the Ravens’ four tries.

EBBW VALE moved past Neath into second on the table after their entertaining 23-13 win over PONTYPRIDD, while GLAMORGAN WANDERERS and ABERAVON produced the second draw of the day.

The Wanderer’s replacement centre James Thatcher scored the crucial try after 85 minutes, and scrum half Craig Warman converted to snatch a 20-20 draw for the home side.

LLANELLI scored four second half tries to overturn BEDWAS’ 3-9 half time lead at Stradey Park. Ken Owen, Liam Davies, Morgan Stoddard and Craig Richards all crossed to give the Scarlets a 28-19 win.

At the Old Parish, fly-half Luke Richards scored 12 points, as MAESTEG beat LLANDOVERY 22-12. Gareth Edwards and Gavin Ronan also scored for the Parish, as they claimed their third consecutive victory.
