Sophie Bennett, WWRU national academy coordinator commented, “This was the best standard of rugby I have witnessed at a Welsh Student trials and a big credit is due to all the girls who took part. A massive congratulations goes to the selected squad and we look forward to an exciting season of rugby.”

The Students will play two fixtures against the British Colleges and one against the British Police throughout the season. This squad is very much seen as a stepping stone, with the best players having the potential to step up to the Wales Women Development Squad for the European Development Championships in Spain in May.
