The Steelmen will not be bringing Christmas cheer to Church Bank and the Drovers will be hoping for a miracle to lift them off the foot of the table.

`Third placed Newport, level on points with second placed Llanelli and only one behind Ebbw Vale, travel to Pandy Park to take on Cross Keys. The Black and Ambers lost out 27-18 to Bridgend in their last outing and the coaching staff will demand a swift return to winning ways.

Meanwhile The Keys find themselves at the wrong end of the table and will be keen to distance themselves from the ensuing relegation quagmire.

At the Brewery Field Bridgend play host to local rivals Maesteg in what promises to be a fiercely contested meeting. A win for the Ravens could propel them back into contention for a late charge to the top, while Maesteg need the points as they sit perilously close to the bottom.

Reigning champions Neath travel to the Talbot Athletic Ground to face Aberavon, who are two points ahead of them in fifth place. A third successive championship looks unlikely for the Welsh All Blacks as they find themselves nine points adrift of leaders Newport.

The Wizards would love a win to pile on the misery for Rowland Philips’s outfit and at the same time stake their claim for a top-three finish.

Elsewhere Bedwas welcome Cardiff to Bridge Field and at Sardis Road Simon King’s Pontypridd front up to second-from-bottom Glamorgan Wanderers.
