The Steelmen’s 59-6 victory continued their uninterrupted winning streak with nine tries coming thick and fast. Solid conversions from Iain Smerdon and great cooperation between Luke Davis and Dai James put a swift end to the Waterwheelers’ resistance.

Tata Steel were too strong for Bonymaen with an impressive gambit by openside flanker Stuart Edbrooke just before half time and seven other tries securing them a bonus point.

Though less spectacular Blackwood’s hard-fought win over Cardiff Met saw it rise two places and Llanharan rose to ninth after defeating Beddau.

The Poolers rose to fifth position after recovering from a losing first half against Narberth while Newbridge gave RGC 1404 a tough time despite losing 15-22 after failing to stop juggernaut Tom Blackwell.

Fortress Newbridge held up to its name for Bridgend Athletic with Bargoed unable to gain enough momentum  to secure them a much needed win, after solid tries from Ben Howe and Dan Apsee with conversions by Steven Lewis.
