A workshop on memorabilia in rugby clubs will held at Principality Stadium this Sunday (25th November).

Taking place in the International Players Lounge from 11:45 to 15:30, and welcome to all, the workshop will hear from experts in the field of memorabilia. 

The programme for the day is as follows:  
                           
11:55 – Welcome – Alan K Jones, WRU Director and Chair of WRU Heritage Committee.
12:00 – The basics of collecting – Sally Carter, Principal Documentation Officer, Collection Services, National Museum-Wales.
12:30 – What is an archive and how should archival material be preserved? – Rhian Diggins, Senior Archivist, Glamorgan Archives.
13:00 – The conservation of material within a collection – Phil Parkes ,Senior Conservator, School of History, Archaeology and Religion, Cardiff University.
13:30 – Buffet Luncheon.
14:00 – The valuation of rugby memorabilia – John Mullock,  Mullock’s Specialist Auctioneers and Valuers, Church Stretton, Shropshire.
14:30 – The insurance of collections of rugby memorabilia – Andrew Daymond, Client Manager, AON Risk Solutions.
15:00 – The WRU’s archive/museum project – Peter Owens, Heritage Manager, Welsh Rugby Union.
15:30 approx – Close

Please note that because of safety procedures that must be carried out on Sunday morning, entry to Principality Stadium must not before 11:30. Entry for those in cars and by foot must be through Gate 4 in Westgate Street.
