Brecon get the chance to end 2018 on top of Division 1 East when they host Blaenavon. With reigning champions Brynmawr, who currently top the table, and second placed Penallta both without a game this weekend it means Andy Powell’s side can go top.
The only unbeaten team in the league, Brecon are one point and one game behind the top two with 38 points from eight wins. They beat Blaenavon, who are ninth and haven’t won a league game since 27 October, away from home 22-8 on the second weekend of the season.

Table-topping Glam Wands are home to fourth placed Dinas Powys, while second placed Rumney, who are five points behind the Wanderers with two games in hand, host St Joseph’s. Rumney then host Brecon on Wednesday, 2 January, in a re-scheduled WRU National Plate fixture.
Third-placed Rhiwbina, who are also still in the Plate, head to Mountain Ash, while Treorchy host Cambrian Welfare and Porth Quins welcome Llantrisant.

Felinfoel will be hoping to protect their six point lead at the top of the table when they travel to third-place Llangennech. They won 37-25 against their hosts at home in the second round of matches, but haven’t won away from home in the league since 27 September.
Second placed Gowerton will be hoping to end a run of two successive defeats when they host fifth-placed Dunvant.

The top two teams tangle in the game of the day with unbeaten Glynneath (nine out of nine) heading to Ystalyfera (eight out of nine). Glynneath, who came down from the Championship at the end of last season, ran out 21-6 winners at home on 8 September when the two teams last met.
That is the only defeat Ystalyfera have suffered and they currently trail Glynneath by three points at the top. Third-placed Bonymaen are six points further back and will be looking to make up ground when they welcome bottom of the table Waunarlwydd.

Llandudno, the unbeaten pace-setters, are without a game which means second-placed Pwllheli will get the chance to close the seven point gap with one of their two games in hand. Also unbeaten after eight games, last season’s runners-up head to seventh-place Caernarfon.
Reigning champions Nant Conwy, currently in third, host sixth-placed Bala. Who they beat 35-14 away from home. Nant are 10 points behind the Llandudno.
