Principality Player of the Month: April

Principality Player of the Month: April

The Drovers lock produced some inspiring performances in leading his side to Konica Minolta Cup glory.

Davies said: “It is great that through the performances we produced towards the end of the season, we earned some deserved recognition for Llandovery RFC. We have worked hard all season and it is nice to get some reward, not just for myself but for the team.”

Assistant Coach at the club, Lyndon Lewis said: “Arwel thoroughly deserves this recognition. He has worked extremely hard as captain over the past two years under much pressure. He has barely missed a game in two seasons and it is fitting that after another superb personal performance, he was able to lift the Cup for Llandovery last month. From the team’s point of view, we are aiming to use that Cup success as a springboard to better League performances next season.”

Eirian Davies, Assistant Manager at the Carmarthen branch of Principality Building Society, who handed Arwel his prize – £100 in a Principality account said: “Heartfelt congratulations to Arwel on winning the Principality Player of the Month award. As captain of Llandovery he led the team to solid wins leading to the side’s Cup success. I wish him well in his preparation for the next season.

“The second season of the Principality Building Society Premiership has produced some excellent competitive rugby. I now look forward to August and the kick off to a brand new season and wish Llandovery every success.”
