Massive challenge for Wanderers

“A massive challenge to open up the season but one we’ve been successful in before,” commented coach Matthew Bolton as Glamorgan Wanderers prepared to take on Champions Neath on the first Saturday of the new Principality Premiership campaign.

“It is no coincidence that Neath are so successful year on year, they are a talented side,” added backs coach Chris Ower.

The new-look Wanderers squad includes six new players in the starting line-up.

In the backs Tomas Marks starts at outside-half, while the Wanderers pack includes Marc Thomas and Ryan Prosser in the front row and an all-new dynamic back row of Aled Llewellyn, Nick Hampson and ex-Wanderers youth and now Blues Academy back row forward Reuben Tucker.

On the bench there are also new inclusions in the shape of Gareth Tedstone, Darragh Cantillon and Josh Hughes.
