As Pontypridd travel to face Swansea tomorrow in the Principality Premiership, there will be a lot at stake.

The game at St Helens will kick off early at 11am, due to the Wales v South Africa autumn international being staged later in the day.

Pontypridd hold on to pole position in the Premiership on 47 points, Swansea lying close behind in third spot on 41 points and with a game in hand. As the two sides face up to each other on Saturday morning, even at this early stage of the season, two serious title contenders will battle out a proverbial eight pointer.

Ponty have mixed and matched their selection, making nine changes from the starting line-up that secured a home win over Tonmawr midweek.

Centre Dafydd Lockyer returns from injury, with Owen Williams recalled on the wing and Simon Humberstone back at No 10.

Hooker Rhys Williams is drafted in from the Blues senior squad, with regional Academy prop WillGriff John packing down beside him. Darren Waters comes in at blindside flanker with skipper Chris Dicomidis returning at No 8.

Full back Gareth Wyatt will reach another milestone in his Pontypridd career as he turns out for his 200th appearance for the club.

Unavailable for Ponty are prop Stuart Williams, having suffered a recurrence of a hamstring twinge, lock Chris Martenko due to a family illness and hooker Kristian Dacey and prop Sam Hobbs, both on duty with the Blues.~
