While Tredegar are joint leaders they have the best attacking record record in the league amassing an incredible 337 points on the way. Scoring 45 tries and only conceeding 13 in total bears credit to the defensive qualities of the squad which compliments their attacking prowess in scoring an average of five tries per game.

Top of the try scoring table is centre Craig Lloyd with 12 tries under his belt, closely followed by co-centre Tom Mcpherson whose 11 touchdowns, saw him written into the club’s record books beating Neil Lewis tally of 10 in season 2002/03.

Dan Haymond has notched up the quickest century of points ever with three tries, 15 penalties and 31 conversions and is the leading points scorer with an impressive 122 so far in only nine league games

Flanker Ron Kynes has stepped up to the mark at this level of rugby and is the leading try-scorer amongst the forwards with six touchdowns in his first season in Division 2.

Other individual miletones passed in the first half of the season saw Steve Evans make his 50th league appearance whileTredegar’s Mr Dependable, Brett Mountney, thoroughly deserved becoming one of the few league centurions when he made his 100th appearance as prop.

As a club, the first half of the season saw the men in red pass 10,000 league points in all league games so far and team manager Chris Jones said he was delighted at the players dedication and efforts of the backroom staff and all efforts would now be to push for promotion.
