Tredegar’s slump continued as they lost their 12th game in a row as they went down 62-0 to Merthyr. The team immediately above them, Mountain Ash, also endured another bad day at the office as they were beaten 51-17 by Rumney. The other result in that division saw Ynysybwl enjoy an away win over Gilfach Goch, 31-23.

In Division Two East, Bedlinog are now eight points clear of Senghenydd at the top of their division after their bonus point win over Llantwit Fadre. Senghenydd just missed out on their bonus point but narrowly defeated Llanishen 25-20. In other results in that division, both Nelson and Rhiwbina celebrated victories as they hover behind Senghenydd. Fleur De Lys was the big winner in that division, thrashing Abercynon 54-6.

Newport HSOB has improved their chances of promoting from Division Three East after their comprehensive 57-12 victory away to Croesyceiliog. Second place Abertillery only could beat Talywain 15-12 while third place Gwernyfed got their much needed bonus point after their 30-20 win over Abercarn.

Caldicot failed to close the gap on the top two of Division Four East after losing to Oakdale 36-14. The result lifts Oakdale up to fourth in the table while Caldicot remain third place.
